Cash to lead Polk County cheerleading squads

Sydney Cash has been appointed as the new head cheerleading coach at Polk County High School, bringing extensive experience in competitive dance and cheer to the program.
Cash, a Gaffney native and Gaffney High School graduate, currently teaches at Tryon Elementary School.
“I bring a strong background in both competitive dance and cheer, along with a passion for building student athletes’ confidence, skills and team spirit,” Cash said.
The new coach developed her love for cheerleading during her time at Gaffney High School and has maintained involvement in competitive cheer and dance throughout her career. She emphasized her commitment to fostering excellence and teamwork within the program.
“With years of experience in competitive cheer and dance, I am eager to grow the cheer program and foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and school pride,” Cash said. “I look forward to leading the team to new heights, both on and off the sidelines.”
