TRYON– On Tuesday, June 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., the Tryon Painters and Sculptors Art Gallery will host a presentation as part of its Tuesdays at TPS Series from former middle school teacher and author, Lizabeth Jenkins-Dale, M.Ed. Jenkins-Dale will speak on the challenges surrounding negativity in a talk titled “Bothersome Bullies and Gritty Gossipers: A Universal Empowering Approach.”

Jenkins-Dale’s presentation will tackle the issue of gossip and bullying, a problem that transcends age and societal boundaries. Attendees will explore fundamental questions such as what constitutes gossiping, why people engage in it, and the implications for those on the receiving end.

Jenkins-Dale will offer strategies to help empower children and adults facing bullying and gossip, shifting their experiences from despair to lasting resilience.

TPS Board Member Jeff Dale conceived the Tuesdays at TPS series with the aim of creating a space for community bonding over wine and engaging discussions. “During these events, we provide opportunities for people to socialize, enjoy a glass of wine, and listen to speakers or live music,” said TPS President Cornelia Scibetta

Founded in 1968, Tryon Painters and Sculptors is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing artists and fostering a vibrant arts community. The gallery supports local talents through exhibitions, retail sales, and educational programs, all while engaging the Foothills Community in the celebration of visual art.

Books by Jenkins-Dale will be available for purchase, and refreshments will be served. For more information about the event, visit tryonpaintersandsculptors.com.

Tryon Painters and Sculptors is located at 78 N. Trade St. For more information, visit tryonpaintersandsculptors.com.
