Saluda woman arrested after newborn tests positive for fentanyl

SALUDA—A Saluda woman has been arrested after her newborn tested positive for fentanyl, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday, May 31.

Jessica Cho, 32, was charged with child abuse and was taken into custody without incident. Her bond was set at $10,000 secured.

According to the agency, the Major Crimes Unit – Special Victims Division launched an investigation and gathered enough evidence to obtain a warrant for Cho’s arrest.
