Mitchell, Vitale named to all-conference softball squad

Polk County’s Sarah Vitale and Junie Mitchell have been named to the 2025 All-Mountain Foothills 7 Conference softball squad.
Mitchell, a junior, led Polk County in hitting with a .438 average. She scored 18 runs, had 20 RBI and laced six doubles.
Vitale, a senior, hit .413, driving in a team-high 27 RBI while scoring 12 runs. She had seven doubles and a triple. Vitale also finished 6-9 on the mound, pitching 101 innings. She struck out 91 while walking just 27.
R-S Central’s Alexis Nanney was named the Player of the Year, with East Rutherford’s Chloe Adair named Pitcher of the Year. Chase’s Montana Honeycutt was named Offensive Player of the Year, while R-S Central’s Todd White was named the league’s Coach of the Year.
