Mabel Caroline Rhodes Bayne

Mabel Caroline Rhodes Bayne, 96, of Zirconia, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, at LifeCare after a long health decline. 

 Survivors include Stan Bayne (his wife Clara), her devoted only son, of Columbus, NC; two cherished grandsons James and John, of Columbus also.  Mabel had numerous dearly-beloved nephews and nieces as well.

Both the visitation at 1 pm and the service at 2 pm will be at Mabel’s long-term “family” church, Upward Church, at 1138 Upward Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 (previously known as Upward Methodist Church) on Saturday, April 19th.   A private burial will take place at the Bayne Cemetery in Green River afterwards.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be mailed to Upward Church, c/o Cheree King, 1190 Upward Rd.., Flat Rock, NC 28731 in memoriam to Mabel Bayne.

Shuler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
