TRYON—On Sunday, April 27, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Tryon Plaza, Back Alley Boutique and Bud Bar will host its annual Back Alley Hempfest. This family-friendly event promises a day filled with live music, local vendors, and a celebration of all things hemp, making it a gathering not to be missed.
The festivities begin with music at Depot Plaza. Attendees can enjoy performances from Paper Crowns from 2 to 4 p.m., Hailey Land from 4 to 5 p.m., and Kool Dewey Kudzu from 5 to 7 p.m. Special for this year, there will also be music from Norie during the popular 4:20 smoke session at the Bud Bar from 4:20 to 5:20 p.m.
Food lovers can delight in Roll-In Cuban food truck offerings, ensuring no one goes hungry during the event. Local artisans and vendors will showcase their talents, including Kaleidoscope Studios Art, ClarkStitch, Tia Sculpt, From the Webb, Jada Rei Crafts, Sean T Brennan Art, and Bean Dyes.
Hempfest organizer Gabby Horvath expressed her excitement for the event, stating, “I am so excited for our 3rd annual Back Alley Hempfest. It is a great time getting together with the community and celebrating the amazing hemp plant.”
In addition to the music and food, the festival will feature live glass-blowing demonstrations and a porch party at the Mirrorball Gallery. A ticketed after-party at the Bud Bar at 226 S. Trade St. will follow, with fire-spinning performances, samples, refreshments, and much more.
As has become tradition, this year’s Hempfest will include a charity raffle to support local non-profits. Proceeds will benefit MountainTrue/The Green Riverkeeper and the Foothills Humane Society.
