MILL SPRING— Guiding Reins, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing equine-assisted support to veterans, first responders, and their families, is set to host its Second Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Monday, April 28, at Bright’s Creek Golf Club.
This exciting fundraiser aims to support wellness programs offered by Guiding Reins at no cost to participants. These programs help participants cope with the high-stress environments and traumatic experiences often faced in their line of work. These programs are vital for promoting mental health and well-being among those who have served our country and their families.
The tournament will feature breakfast and lunch buffets, golfer gifts, and prizes for the top three teams. Participants will also have the opportunity to compete for a $10,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one, enter three bonus hole-in-one contests and participate in the “Beat the Pro Challenge.”
Founded in 2018, Guiding Reins provides equine-assisted peer-to-peer support, small group, and one-on-one sessions to help individuals learn how to heal with horses. It is complemented by various online resources.
Bright’s Creek Golf Club is celebrated for its Tom Fazio-designed golf course, which is renowned for its player-friendly layout and stunning vistas. Ranked #37 by Golf Digest, the course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.
“We are excited to host this event and raise funds for our wellness programs that provide much-needed support to our veterans, first responders, and their families,” said Diane Prewitt, Founder of Guiding Reins. “This is an excellent opportunity for golf enthusiasts to enjoy a day of golf at one of the best courses in the country while supporting a worthy cause.”
The tournament is open to all, and registration is available online until Wednesday, April 21, through the Guiding Reins website at guidingreins.org/golf-tournament. Donations and sponsorship opportunities are welcomed for those unable to attend to help further Guiding Reins’ mission.
