MILL SPRING—-This Week, the set lineup for the fourth annual Earl Scruggs Music Festival was announced. The event is scheduled to take place from Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
The festival will be headlined by legendary 27-time grammy winner Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, alongside an impressive lineup that includes the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Del McCoury Band, Sam Bush, Watchhouse, The Wood Brothers, The War And Treaty, The Earls of Leicester, Sierra Hull, and numerous others.
As a tribute to North Carolina banjo pioneer Earl Scruggs, this three-day celebration takes place each year over Labor Day Weekend, honoring Scruggs’ revolutionary three-finger picking style that set the standard for bluegrass music. His influence has resonated through country, folk, and even rock genres, inspiring artists for generations.
The inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival was launched in 2022, thanks to partnerships with WNCW 88.7 and Isothermal Community College with the Earl Scruggs Center. The festival continues to support these partners, focusing on preserving Scruggs’ artistic legacy, promoting musical education, and celebrating the region’s cultural heritage through dedicated initiatives.
The Festival guarantees a seamless experience for festival-goers, with on-site dining, lodging, and various amenities available to enhance comfort and convenience.
Advance-price tickets are currently on sale, featuring options for both three-day and one-day general admission and upgraded packages.
