TRYON—Friction Farm will perform at FENCE on Sunday, March 30, at 4 p.m. The community is invited to this free event in the Great Room to enjoy an afternoon of live music.
This modern folk duo is a husband-and-wife team of traveling troubadours. Aidan Quinn and Christine Stay combine storytelling, social commentary, and humor to create songs of everyday life, local heroes, and quirky observations. Their lyrically rich, harmony-driven songs earned them spots as Kerrville New Folk Finalists, Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists, and South Florida Folk Festival Songwriter winners.
From ballads to anthems, each song is filled with harmony and hope. He’s from Berkeley, CA; she’s from Woodstock, NY. When not touring, Aidan enjoys woodworking, and Christine bakes. At the sustainable home they designed and built in South Carolina, they have a big garden and a small orchard.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is made possible thanks to the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. For more information or to register for this event, call 828-859-9021, email info@fence.org, or visit www.fence.org.
