SALUDA—With the spring season around the corner, Saluda Living in Place (SLIP) announced its upcoming event, “Spring into Gardening: Tips for a Thriving Garden,” taking place on March 19 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Saluda Center, located at 64 Greenville St.
This seminar, led by local gardening experts Luanne Matson and Mary Jo Wannamaker, aims to provide valuable insights and practical advice for new residents and longtime locals looking to enhance their gardening skills. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn effective strategies for cultivating vibrant gardens in their own backyards.
“Spring is a wonderful time to embrace the beauty of nature, and we want to inspire our community to get their hands dirty and start gardening,” said a representative from SLIP. “Our experts will share not only tips but also personal success stories to encourage everyone to participate.”
Garden enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike are invited to gather and share their experiences while enjoying light snacks provided at the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring their gardening questions and prepare for a fruitful discussion.
Saluda Living in Place, the organization behind the event, is a non-profit committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in the area. They aim to foster community engagement through educational programs, social activities, and services that support independence and well-being.
