Tryon–George David Wall, 83, born on September 29, 1941, passed away on February 16, 2025.
George was born in Tryon, North Carolina. He graduated from Tryon High School. He attended Mars Hill College and North Carolina State University. Answering the call to duty, he joined the US Army and served as a medic and pharmacist in Germany. After an honorable military discharge, he began his career with Bell South/AT&T until his retirement. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He rarely spoke his true feelings, but his love and devotion were unmistakably seen in his eyes and in his actions. He was loved and respected by his friends. He always had a kind word and a scripture coin for those he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph David Wall and Eda Cawthray Wall, and his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia W. Wall.
George will be greatly missed by his son Timothy M. Wall and his wife Connie, along with his only grandchild, Alexander David Wall. He may be gone, but he will forever live in our hearts and continue to influence our lives.
George was blessed with a second chance at love with his devoted and loving companion, Helen Daubenspeck.
He was a member of Blessed Trinty Catholic Church and the Lions Club of Taylors.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, March 1, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 901 River Rd, Greer, SC.
