1941 – 2025 Peter Adams, a man of creativity, strength, and kindness, passed away peacefully in Hendersonville N.C. on January 31st at the age of 83. Born in Sheffield, England to Stanley and Beatrice Adams, Peter emigrated to the United States as a young boy, with his family, embracing new opportunities with resilience and determination.

He pursued higher education at Montana State University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree

before proudly serving in the U.S. Army with the 504th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. His time in the service was marked by camaraderie, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to his cause. Peter was a gifted artist and cartoonist, using his creativity to bring joy and laughter to those around him. With a sharp wit and a natural ability to lift spirits, he had an uncanny way of making people smile. Beyond his humor, he was a man of strong convictions, standing firmly by his beliefs and values while always leading with kindness.

He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Patricia, to whom he was married for 45 years until her passing in 2010. In later years, he found love and companionship once again with his

sweetheart, Vivian, who remained by his side.

Peter is survived by his eldest son, Paul, and the “Neen”; his youngest son, Michael, and his wife, Jodi; and his two cherished granddaughters, Catherine and Victoria. He was also a beloved brother to Joan and Marie, a devoted uncle to his niece Colleen and her husband, Terry, and a loyal friend to many.

Peter’s legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the art he created, and the love he gave. His

presence made the world a brighter and happier place, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Peter’s life will be held upon private notification. In lieu of flowers, the family

requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital honoring Peter.

May he rest in peace and be forever remembered by those who loved him.
