TRYON—Opening on the TFAC stage on February 28 is Tryon Little Theater’s production of “Gypsy: a Musical Fable,” where young and not-so-young actors work together to bring you the story of Mama Rose and her desire to see her two girls on the stage.

Full of enthusiasm for their craft, the young cast portrays the earlier years of Mama’s struggles. In the 1920s, Rose is the ultimate stage mother, pushing her children to become stars. Eventually, with the help of a former agent, “Baby June and her Newsboys” becomes a vaudeville act.

You can see this band of talented actors at the Tryon Fine Arts Center from February 28 – March 2 and again from March 7 – 9. Tickets are $30 and $15 and can be purchased online at tltinfo.org or by calling 828-859-2466.
