TRYON—The Polk County chapter of the Silent Book Club recently announced its first meeting at Valhalla Cakes and Cafe on Saturday, February 15. The gathering will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the cafe, located at 90 Pacolet Street, next to Mirrorball Gallery + Art Lounge.

The Silent Book Club offers a unique twist on traditional book clubs. It invites members to read in silence, without the pressure of assigned books or discussions. It’s a relaxed, social way to enjoy reading while connecting with others who share a love for books.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own book, grab a snack, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of reading surrounded by other book lovers.
