East Flat Rock—Rhonda Ellen Williams Hudson, 70, passed away on January 24, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Rhonda was the daughter of the late Howard Marion and Elea Lindsey Williams. Rhonda grew up in Polk County, North Carolina, and graduated from Tryon High School in 1972. After high school, she attended Appalachian State University. She spent most of her adult life in Hendersonville, NC, and worked primarily in the banking industry. Rhonda loved cats and always had a feline companion. She was a devoted mother to her son Seth. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and later attended Hendersonville Church of Christ.

Surviving is her son, Seth Hudson of East Flat Rock, NC; one brother, Sam Williams and wife Debra, of Forest City, NC. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Hendersonville Church of Christ, with Minister Ethan Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held following the memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC. The family invites anyone that cannot attend the memorial service to attend the graveside service.
