TRYON—A local spot has taken on new life as Throwbax Bar & Grille at 62 N Trade St.
The new restaurant promises a unique blend of nostalgia, quality food, and a family-friendly atmosphere reminiscent of retro bars and grills from decades past.
Owners Eric and Tracy Zeisloft are excited to welcome the community to their new restaurant, which was previously Marengo. With a focus on creating not just a restaurant but a gathering place for locals, visitors, and families, Throwbax seeks to foster a sense of community through great service, refreshing cocktails, and freshly prepared meals.
The menu features a wide variety of options, from soups and salads to shrimp, steak, pulled pork, and burgers. As the restaurant approaches full operational capacity, new menu items and drinks will be introduced. Throwbax will also offer special kid’s meals for diners aged 12 and under.
“We want to recreate the spot where you used to go,” owner Eric Zeisloft expressed in a social media post. “It’s all about being a place where friends and family can come together, enjoy great music, and savor good food without any fancy gimmicks.”
Throwbax Bar & Grille is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and features indoor and outdoor dining, live music, and plenty of TVs for sports and entertainment.
