SALUDA—In an inspiring act of community support, First Bank has awarded a grant of $1,000 to Saluda Pantry, a non-profit dedicated to combating food insecurity in Saluda. This funding will help the Pantry expand its services and reach more individuals and families in need.
Many in the community have been affected by Hurricane Helene, and it will take time for them to recover fully. Many lost their homes and are starting over. This grant will help purchase food to help those affected by the storm and others experiencing food insecurity. With the cost of living rising and food insecurity continuing to affect many in the community, this grant comes at a critical time.
“We are incredibly grateful to First Bank for their generosity and commitment to our mission,” said Chairman Teresa Wilkinson. “This grant will further empower the Saluda Pantry to serve the growing demand.”
