COLUMBUS—In February 2025, State House Representative Jake Johnson will begin holding in-district office hours to meet with constituents. Johnson says this is an effort to be transparent about the work being done in Raleigh and to hear directly from citizens regarding their questions and concerns.

Rep. Johnson says he intends to hold office hours monthly and will alternate locations across the district.

The first office hours will be held on the second floor of the House of Flags building from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 21.

Constituents can contact Rep. Johnson’s legislative assistant, Megan Kluttz, at (919) 717-4466 or megan.kluttz@ncleg.gov to check availability and schedule a meeting with him. Appointments are available by request during the allotted time frame. If the meeting requires a follow-up, another time can be scheduled in person or remotely, depending on the session schedule.

“If you are coming with a group, we are happy to meet and combine appointments to allow everyone’s input,” says Kluttz. “Just let us know roughly how many will be in attendance when you call in.”

Johnson may also accommodate individual appointments in between office hour dates. If issues are time-sensitive, he can be contacted anytime at (919) 715-4466 or jake.johnson@ncleg.gov.

“It is my honor to serve you in the NC General Assembly, and I look forward to getting to work in the 2025-2026 session,” says Johnson.

House of Flags is located at 33 Gibson St. in Columbus.
