POLK COUNTY—Polk County Libraries will be hosting two events within the next month that will utilize creativity and uniqueness while having fun with others in the community.
On Thursday, January 9, the library will host a mocktail mixology evening where attendees can join expert mocktail mixologists from The Buzz, Western North Carolina’s first sober bar and cafe, as they teach the art of crafting various delicious non-alcoholic beverages.
Registration is required for this event, and space is limited. Those interested in attending the mocktail mixology event can email asnyder@polklibrary.org to sign up.
Also, for the rest of the month, artists of all types can pick up free kits with art supplies to complete a community art project or a craft that benefits a local organization and enter into the 2025 Tiny Art Show.
All art projects must be turned in and dropped off at the library by Sunday, February 1, with your name and the title of the art piece on the back. Participants can use other paints/mixed media if they like, but designs must be on a 4×4 canvas (provided by the library).
The 2025 Tiny Art Show will run from February 3-28. Please pick your painting back up the week of March 3. Paintings not picked up by March 15 will be discarded.
