Rebecca Ann Champion 74 of the Pea Ridge community of Polk County was born June 5, 1950 and went to her Heavenly home on January 1, 202, at the Hospice House in Forest City, surrounded by loved ones.
She was the daughter of the late Roland Blanton and Mabel Carswell Blanton. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Phillip Champion. She was also predeceased by a grandson Austin Bishop and great grandson Wyatt Ramsey.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Melissa Young (Norris) of Forest City and Crystal Williams (James) of Rutherfordton. She was affectionately known as “nanipud” to her Five grandchildren, Tyler Bishop, Jessica Arledge, Morgan Ramsey, Chandler Patrick, and Cameron Patrick (Kelly). Great grandchildren Gunnar Arledge, Maci Arledge, Maple Arledge, Ivy Ramsey, Wylder Ramsey, Hayden Patrick, Maddox Patrick, Liam Patrick, and sweet Penelope on the way, she is also survived by two brothers, Clint Blanton (Harriette) of Columbus, NC and Robert Blanton (Jean) of Inman SC, a host of nieces and nephews and too many friends to count. A special thank you to all that prayed for her during her time of illness.
A Memorial Service will be 12 Noon on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church in Mill Spring with Rev. John Edwards and Rev. Paul White officiating.
The family will receive friends starting at 11:30 am prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
