SUNNY VIEW – Benjamin Loran Lynch, 79, of Sunny View, passed away, on Thursday afternoon, December 26, 2024, at his home.

A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Pharoah Lynch and Ruby McDade Lynch. Ben was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during Vietnam. After his service to his country, Ben went on to work for Bell South and retired after 27 years of service. Ben was a farmer at heart and owned and operated Ben Lynch Orchards from 1982 to 2021. Every chance he had, he would be out riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Lynch; two brothers, John Lynch and Jack Lynch; one sister, June Paradeses and infant siblings, Elnora Lynch and Marchell Lynch.

Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Teresa King Lynch; one son, Ben Lynch (June) of Sunny View; one daughter, Sylina Buehne (Scout) of Ellijay, Georgia; six grandchildren, Robert Lynch, Sam Buehne, Aaron Buehne, Benjamin Joseph Buehne, Kelly Ross and Cori Hyc; nine great-grandchildren, Madison Williams, Trey Williams, Oakley Buehne, Daniel Hyc, Riley Ross, Reagan Ross, Reese Ross, Savannah Lynch and Lucus Lynch. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in Coopers Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Mill Spring with Elder Vincent Ramirez officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society or to Wounded Warriors.
