Thanks to legislation approved by congress and signed by President Biden, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has received $2 billion to resume issuing disaster loans. Residents and businesses can now get the disaster loan assistance they need to recover from recent disasters across the nation, including Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The SBA offers low interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations to rebuild, repair, and replace disaster-damaged property. Those affected by recent disasters are encouraged to apply for a disaster loan online at sba.gov/disaster or in person at a disaster or business recovery center. For recovery center locations or application assistance call (800) 659-2955.
