PCHS Veterinary Science team among west’s best at state competition

The Polk County FFA Chapter finished second among West Region teams at the North Carolina FFA State Veterinary Science Career Development Event, held December 7 at Lee County High School in Sanford.
The event was held in cooperation with the Veterinary Technician Program at Central Carolina Community College. Competing for Polk County High School were Karsyn Huskey, Brooklynn Lewis, Lily Gosnell and Brooklyn Jones. The team’s FFA advisor is Ashley Gilbert.
The Vet Science CDE participants demonstrate their knowledge in all facets of veterinary science from breed and parasite identification to clinical and handling practicums.
