INMAN—Kelli Elliott, age 36, passed away peacefully at the end of her battle with cancer in her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 7th, 2024.
Kelli was born on November 2nd, 1988, in Bartow, FL, to Dean and Lynn Elliott. She was an active member of NewSpring Church in Spartanburg, SC. Kelli graduated from Polk County High School in 2007 and continued her education at North Greenville University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art in 2013.
Social work was an area that Kelli was passionate about. From Child Protective Services to Rehabilitation Services–her heart was for loving people. Kelli worked in many fields over the years. A common joke Kelli had was that she was “the jack of all trades.” When you are “the jack of all trades,” you can meet the needs of those around you with such specific skills that may not seem connected to the average person. But God sees how those skills go together, and He weaves them to work for the good of all people. Kelli was a vessel for His unique Kingdom work in this way. His light was strong in Kelli. She would brighten any room and constantly left her mark of joy on others, even in the darkest of places. A source of laughter always, Kelli was an incredible friend, loving daughter, and the fiercest of sisters.
Kelli is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bobby Stevenson and Warren Elliott.
She is survived by her parents, sisters Katie and Kimberly, grandmothers Sara Stevenson and Thelma Elliott, and many friends and family who cherished her in life and into eternity.
A celebration of Kelli’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Midway Baptist Church in Columbus.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
