Polk County snapped an eight-year losing streak against Landrum on Friday and achieved a milestone for head coach Brandy Alm in the process.

Alm recorded her 100th career victory as the Wolverines handed the Cardinals a 64-37 setback in a battle of Thermal Belt rivals. It marked the first time since 2016 that Polk County defeated Landrum, snapping the Cardinals’ nine-game winning streak in the series.

Alm is the first Wolverine head girls coach to reach 100 wins in school history. She surpassed Chris Mintz last season as the program’s winningest coach.
