POLK COUNTY—Polk County’s Andy Millard, CFP®, was recently named one of the country’s Top 100 Financial Advisors on the inaugural ETF.com Leaders List.
The two Leaders Lists spotlight the Top 100 financial advisors and Top 50 Registered Investment Advisor firms in the U.S. who have demonstrated outstanding expertise, growth, and leadership in helping clients navigate the ever-evolving world of exchange-traded funds.
The Top 100 Financial Advisor list showcases the nation’s leading U.S.-based advisors, selected through a comprehensive application process that evaluates portfolio performance, client retention, assets under management growth and more.
Andy Millard Advisory, LLC is a boutique investment management firm based in Columbus. Through it, Andy Millard provides personal money management and advice to a small local client base consisting of mostly widows and retirees. While many advisors work with hundreds of clients, Millard is committed to limiting his client count to no more than 30. This allows clients to communicate directly with him without going through phone menus or staff gatekeepers, and it allows Millard to monitor and manage each client portfolio personally.
In addition to managing investments for local clients for over 30 years, Millard has been a fixture of the foothills community. A former educator, Millard was the principal of Polk County High School when it opened in 1992. He was a longtime chair of the Blue Ridge BBQ Festival and is an active leader of many local nonprofits, including the Kiwanis Club of Tryon and the Shakespeare & Friends theater company.
To create the Leaders Lists, ETF.com editors reviewed and selected Financial Advisors and RIA firms based on their ability to achieve returns for client portfolios, hit client goals, offer a breadth of specialties, exhibit a solid and consistent track record, maintain fiduciary interests for clients, and more. A key selection criterion is significant ETF allocation in client portfolios. Fee models, asset size minimums, diversity of teams, and asset management strategies were also considered. The list aims to feature a diverse list of advisors and firms from smaller boutique firms to larger companies that may be able to provide more comprehensive financial management. It includes firms and advisors whose client portfolios range in size from very high net-worth households to those with smaller amounts of net worth and investable assets.
