Dracula by Bram Stoker
The 1897 gothic horror novel has been adapted many times. Read the classic before watching Nosferatu, starring Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, which releases in theaters on Christmas Day.
Dylan Goes Electric! Newport, Seeger, Dylan, and the Night That Split the Sixties by Elijah Wald

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy by Helen Fielding
Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth and Emma Thompson are back in the next installment in the Bridget Jones series, which hits the big screen in February. Bridget is now a single mother of two following the death of husband Mark Darcy four years previously, after he was killed on a humanitarian mission in Sudan.
The Electric State by Simon Stalenhag
This dystopian science fiction novel is set in an alternate technologically ravaged 1990s, and follows a teenage girl and her robot on a journey to the west coast of the United States in search of her long-lost brother. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, and Ke Huy Quan, and is scheduled to be released by Netflix on March 14th.
One Hundred Years Of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The 1967 novel tells the multi-generational story of the Buendía family, whose patriarch, José Arcadio Buendía, founded the fictitious town of Macondo. The book has been adapted into a Netflix series that premieres on December 11th.
Not Without Hope by Nick Schuyler and Jeré Longman
This 2010 non-fiction bestseller describes a boating accident that Schuyler survived while his three friends, including NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, died. Zachary Levi stars in the movie adaptation that hit theaters in February.
The Odyssey by Homer
The ancient Greek epic poem follows the Greek hero Odysseus, king of Ithaca, and his journey home after the Trojan War. It has been adapted into a film called The Return that releases this month, starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.
