Madison avenged its season-opening loss to Polk County, handing the Wolverines a 73-51 setback Tuesday in Marshall.
The Patriots (1-1) opened a 35-25 halftime lead and kept the Wolverine offense in check, a marked difference from Polk’s 72-66 victory in last week’s season debut.
Aaron Jackson scored 15 points to lead Polk (1-2), with Gunnar Alm scoring 12 points and Khristian Littlejohn adding 11. Ja Gary and Jayce Edwards each added four points, with Dallas Littlejohn scoring three.
Polk County will return to action next Tuesday, hosting Pisgah in a non-conference clash.
