Wolverine indoor track and field teams make season debut in Madison

Polk County opened its 2024-25 indoor track and field season on Monday with a solid showing in the Legends Invitational at Madison.

The Polk girls placed second and the Wolverines boys placed third in the nine-team field. Enka won both the boys and girls team titles.

Polk had one qualifying performance for the state 1A/2A indoor championships – Karsyn Huskey won the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:16.60.

The Wolverines also had a winning effort from its boys 4×200-meter relay team.

Polk County will next be in action on December 4, hosting the Polar Bear 1 meet at 4 p.m.
