Caiden Brewer showed Thursday why he is considered among the area’s top boys basketball players, scoring 33 points to lead East Henderson to 75-47 victory at Polk County.

Brewer had 14 of his game-high total in the second quarter as the Eagles (3-0) began to take control of the game. East surged to a 42-21 lead at the half and kept the margin above 20 points for most of the final two quarters.

Khristian Littlejohn scored 11 points to lead Polk County, with Aaron Jackson and Dallas Littlejohn each adding eight. Jayce Edwards and Gunnar Alm each scored six for Polk (1-1).

Ja Gary, David Duffy and Harris Windsor each added two points for the Wolverines, who will travel Tuesday to Madison for a non-conference encounter.
