TRYON—The Foothills Music Club met on Thursday, November 14, at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Tryon. Since there was no meeting in October due to Hurricane Helene, themes from both months were combined to form a varied program.

Music from the fourteenth century through the twentieth century included selections representing many different genres and styles. There were vocal solos and duets, instrumental solos on piano, flute, piccolo, and organ, and accompaniment provided by piano, guitar, and percussion instruments, such as the shaker and cajon.
