TRYON—Miss Tammy’s Little Learning Center has officially opened its fifth location at 25 School St. in Tryon, previously home to Forbes Preschool. The center will hold an open house on Wednesday, November 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the doors will officially open to the public on December 2.
Founded in 1993 by Tammy Compton in Landrum, Miss Tammy’s Little Learning Center has grown over the years. The center is run by her son, Thomas Compton, who has been instrumental in expanding its mission of providing quality early education.
“There is a desert of quality early education centers between Asheville and our Landrum location,” says Thomas. “We knew this was necessary for the community, and we are very excited to start this process in Tryon.”
Miss Tammy’s emphasizes a balance of learning and play to provide children with a solid foundation for socialization and lifelong learning. All locations are participants in ABC Quality and Quality Counts programs.
The new Tryon location aims to bring the Comptons’ signature playful spirit and unique educational programs to the community. Families are encouraged to tour the facility, meet the staff, and learn more during the upcoming open house.
The centers cater to children aged six weeks to five years. To learn more about enrollment or the new Tryon location, call 828-820-5997 or email tryon@misstammys.org.
