TENNIS: Polk places four on all-conference girls tennis squad

Polk County placed four players on the Mountain Foothills 7 All-Conference girls tennis team.

Seniors Sarah Vitale, Elizabeth Vitale and Mia Wolfe and sophomore Cate Brown earned spots on the team.

R-S Central’s Alexis Nanney was named Player of the Year while Hendersonville’s Michael Jones was named Coach of the Year.

1 seed: Caroline Jenkins, Brevard; Raleigh Prichard, Hendersonville; Alexis Nanney, R-S Central

2 seed: Reese Redden, Hendersonville; Sarah Vitale, Polk County; Alyssa Nanney, R-S Central

3 seed: Anns MacDowell, Hendersonville; Elizabeth Vitale, Polk County

4 seed: Cate Brown, Polk County

5 seed: Cannan Scroggs, Hendersonville

6 seed: Margaret Calhoun, Hendersonville; Mia Wolfe, Polk County

Honorable mention: Lila Hipp, Brevard; Sofia Gallian, Hendersonville
