Creators Vault to host performers from Uganda
TRYON—The Creators Vault in downtown Tryon will host an African Drumming and Dance Workshop on Thursday, November 7, and Friday, November 8. Ugandan musicians Chinobay and Denis Sewanyana will lead the program.
Attendees will be immersed in the vibrant rhythms and movements of African culture. The workshop is open to all skill levels, from experienced dancers and drummers to complete beginners.
“I’m excited to announce that I’m hosting another event with our friends from Uganda,” said the Creators Vault’s Tanisha Akinloye. “Join us for an unforgettable experience. Let’s come together to celebrate the joy of rhythm and movement!”
Participants can expect hands-on drumming sessions led by skilled instructors and energetic dance classes. The events will celebrate community, culture, and creativity.
Organizers ask that participants bring one travel-size hygiene product for donation to the Pea Ridge Partnership Outreach Program. Attendees should also bring a water bottle and towel to the workshop.
Both events will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Spots for the workshop are $25 each and can be secured at eventbrite.com.
Creators Vault is located at 25 S. Trade St. in Tryon. For more information, contact organizers at info@thecreatorsvault.com or call (203) 767-9264.
