Ellen Hensley Flynn, 82, went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2024.  She was the wife of Hugh Flynn and daughter of the late Charles and Winnie Connor Hensley.  She was predeceased by a brother Robert Hensley.

She is survived by her husband Hugh Flynn and several nieces and nephews.

She worked in the Personnel Department at Landrum Mills for 42 years.  She graduated from RS Central High School in Rutherfordton, NC.  She attended Appalachian State University and Cecil’s Business College.  She was a lady of great faith in God and enjoyed the lady’s Bible study in her church.  She spent many hours studying God’s word.  She was a member of Pacolet Hills Baptist Church and served as church treasurer for 42 years plus many more positions.  She had a heavy heart for missions, Baptist children’s homes, and the Christmas shoe boxes.

A funeral service was held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Pacolet Hills Baptist Church conducted by Rev. John Roberts and Rev. Lewis Jackson.  The burial will be in the church cemetery.
