Sunny View, NC—Reverend Fred A. Siegfried, 83, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Fred was the son of the late Jimmy Ray and Kathleen Bridgeman Siegfried. Fred married Revonda Blackwell and together they raised a family in Polk County, NC. He worked full-time at Landrum Mills and retired in 2003. Fred loved the Lord and spent many years serving as a pastor to churches in Polk County. He began his ministry serving as an interim pastor at Mill Spring First Baptist Church and then served as the pastor for Mountain Valley Baptist Church for 28 years. In 2010, he began serving as the pastor of Faith Temple Baptist Church until his health declined in 2016. He cherished being a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing and watching sports his whole life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie Siegfried, Rodney Siegfried, and Jerry Siegfried.
Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years Revonda Blackwell Siegfried; three children, Lisa Pack of Columbus, NC; Vicki Green (Darren) of Columbus and Danny Siegfried (Kim) of Sunny View, NC; seven grandchildren, Kayla Pack, Maranda Justice (Matthew), Chloe Green, Taylor Siegfried, Tyler Siegfried (Sarah), Madison Siegfried, and Macie Siegfried; three great-grandchildren, Lakyn Siegfried, Linley Siegfried and Beaux Justice; two brothers, Henry Siegfried (Ann) and Rick Siegfried (Carolyn) and one sister, Sylvia Siegfried—a special thanks to Harry Denton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Mill Spring First Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC with Dr. Vince Hefner, Reverend Hubert Street, and Reverend Charlie Jackson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, North Carolina.
