MILL SPRING—Patsy Arledge Williams, 82, of the Silver Creek Community of Mill Spring, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
A native and lifelong resident of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Arledge and Orpha Newman Arledge. Patsy was a graduate of Polk Central High School and later went on to work for Thermal Belt Phone Company. When she became a mother, she stayed at home raising her family until they grew up. Patsy later went onto earn her CNA degree and was a private caregiver for many years. Patsy’s passions included serving her church family, the community, gardening, and canning.
Being a devout Christian, Patsy was a volunteer with Samaritans Purse and was very involved with WMU at her church. Patsy was a faithful member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.
Patsy’s life was a living testimony of her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Hall Arledge, Dempsey Arledge and Jack Arledge; two sisters, Betty Jo Jackson and Juanita Taylor.
Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth Williams; two daughters, Amber Williams Dotson (Travis) of Mill Spring and Carla Williams of Mill Spring; one brother, Donald Arledge of Mill Spring; two grandsons, Parker Dotson and Will Dotson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Silver Creek Baptist Church.
A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church with Reverend Rob Hefner and Reverend Donald Hollifield officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Silver Creek Baptist Church, 4391 Silver Creek Road, Mill Spring, North Carolina 28756.
