In the wake of the recent storm that battered western North Carolina, the folks at the Trade Street Diner are stepping up to help the community recover.
In a heartfelt social media post, the business shared an aerial video of the affected region, announcing that aid is already arriving, with more support on the way.
“We love y’all,” the post reads, expressing deep affection for the community. A staple in the area, the diner plans to offer free coffee, Wi-Fi, and hugs at their shop, allowing people to reconnect and communicate with loved ones.
In addition to providing a space for the community to gather, the business has also become a drop-off location for essential items such as pillows, blankets, and towels, which will be donated to a local shelter to support those displaced by the storm.
“Let’s come together and cast a ray of sunshine,” the post said. “The storm may have taken much away, but for those that have made it through, we still have each other.”
The business owners expressed their gratitude for the support they have received from the community over the years, and their commitment to giving back during this difficult time.
