RUTHERFORDTON—KidSenses Children’s Museum in Rutherfordton is hosting a free event on Friday, October 4, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The event, KidSenses Karnival: Celebrating 20 Years of KidSenses, will be free for all families with children from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Additionally, from 1 to 4 p.m., free carnival party-themed activities will occur throughout the museum. Visitors can look forward to classic carnival games, a costume contest, visits from vintage KidSenses Pals, cotton candy and fresh popcorn, giveaways and prizes, and more.
In October 2004, KidSenses Children’s Interactive Museum opened its doors to the public for the first time. It has since become a community staple for family fun and hands-on education. Over the past twenty years, the museum has enriched the lives of over 600,000 visitors from across the United States and beyond. KidSenses’ monumental success is the result of the generosity, hard work, and support of our local communities.
Deputy Director Mandi Williams expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported KidSenses over the years.
“I have always been blown away by the love and support of the community for our museum,” she said. “It fills my heart to see the impact that our museum has had on our children’s lives. We could never have reached this milestone without the support of our dedicated community. The KidSenses Karnival allows us to thank them for all these years of play.”
KidSenses Children’s Interactive Museum is located at 172 N. Main Street in historic downtown Rutherfordton. For information about the museum, call (828) 286-2120 or visit www.kidsenses.org.
