COLUMBUS—Polk County Senior Services will host a free Community Resource Fair at the Meeting Place, located at 75 Carmel Lane in Columbus, on September 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. 

The event aims to provide valuable information about services for seniors and their families.

Attendees can look forward to various activities at the fair, including health screenings, giveaways, fun games, and access to information and resources from different vendors. 

A complimentary hamburger lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., but interested individuals must register in advance by calling (828) 894-0001.

In addition to the fair, the Meeting Place will host a free breakfast for veterans and first responders on Friday, September 13, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by calling (828) 894-0003.

The Meeting Place works to improve seniors’ lives by providing opportunities for active aging, socialization, health promotion, and education. It boasts a wide range of services at its primary location, as well as its location in Saluda.
