As I was perusing an article in the TDB’s August 28th edition concerning a recent 4th Friday event called Fuzzy Fest, I came across a disturbing sentence tucked away in the middle of the article: Toby Ziegler was “given another term as the 2024 Tryon Dog Mayor.”

Excuse me, “given”? “GIVEN”???? 

When did Tryon become a doggie dictatorship? Who are these unnamed scoundrels who gave Toby another term as mayor and robbed the citizens of this town of their right to vote?

Fellow Tryonnites, please let your voices be heard. Now is not the time to sit idly by while this travesty goes unaddressed. The right to vote is at the very core of our democracy. Free and fair elections are a must.

First, the Office of Dog Mayor is compromised. What’s next?
