Ten years in the making, “Hidden Rivers” is Freshwaters Illustrated’s newest feature film. It explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region, revealing both the beauty and vulnerability of this aquatic life and how many people are finding ways to protect these ecosystems.

The Freshwaters Illustrated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to raise public awareness about freshwater ecosystems’ life, study, and conservation through immersive visual media and storytelling, and sharing imagery and stories with educators, conservation groups, and community audiences.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, visit conservingcarolina.org/event/special-film-screening-of-hidden-rivers. The Box Office and theatre will be open at 6:30 p.m. Please arrive before 7:00 p.m. to allow time for check-in, concessions, and finding your seat.

Concessions will be available for purchase.
