Steven Orr to represent Saluda at the state level
RALIEGH—Saluda City Manager Steven Orr has been selected to represent Saluda at the state level as a member of the Legislative Policy Committee in the North Carolina League of Municipalities. The NCLM is a member-driven organization that represents the interests of the state’s cities and towns.
“I’m excited to be able to represent smaller North Carolina cities and towns’ interests and concerns in the North Carolina legislative process through this committee’s advocacy in Raleigh,” Orr said.
The committee will be led by co-chairs Mayor Jessica Day of Knightdale, N.C., and Mayor Bill Dusch of Concord, N.C. NCLM President and Durham Mayor Pro-Tem Mark-Anthony Middleton announced the appointments to the 65-member committee this week.
“We are truly grateful to enjoy the participation of these local leaders who understand the challenges facing their communities and those of the entire state,” Middleton said.
