VOLLEYBALL: Wolverines blast past Rockets in season opener

Polk County opened the 2024 season on Monday with a three-set sweep of A.C. Reynolds in non-conference volleyball action in Fairview.

The Wolverines rolled to a 25-15, 25-18, 25-8 victory in the season opener for both teams.

Sophia Overholt paced Polk County’s attack with ten kills, also adding a team-high 17 digs. Morgan Yoder had nine kills and six digs, while Mia Bradley had nine kills and five digs.

Kylie Lewis added four kills, with Charley Dusenbury recording 28 assists and also notching 12 digs.

Hayden Blackwell added six digs for the Wolverines, who will make their home debut on Thursday, welcoming T.C. Roberson for a non-conference match.
