CAMPOBELLO—The Guiding Reins program, a local organization dedicated to equine-assisted mental health wellness headquartered in Campobello, recently announced its upcoming Alumni Workshops on Friday, August 16, and Friday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The workshops will take place at the Royal Oaks Equestrian Center located at 392 Pine Drive in Greer, S.C. This exclusive event offers a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect with the horses, reunite with old friends, make new connections, and revisit the wellness techniques they’ve learned.
Founder Diane Prewitt expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to begin offering these monthly workshops for our program alumni. It is a great way for them to reconnect with the horses and each other and let us know how their time at Guiding Reins has maintained their well-being.”
Guiding Reins, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, specializes in providing Mental Health Equine-Assisted Wellness programs tailored to veterans, first responders, and their families in learning how to cope with their burdens. Thanks to generous donations and partnerships, the program is able to offer its services at no charge to participants.
Additionally, the program aims to continue serving as many veterans, first responders, and their families as possible, providing support and care for emotional and mental health issues resulting from trauma and high-stress work.
