TRYON- Susan Dillion of Tryon, NC passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 66. Sue was born in Illinois and worked for Dominick’s Grocers until she relocated to Tryon in the 1990s and worked for her mother at Catering By Joan. Sue was truly valued by everyone and became an excellent cook and baker, making many of the dishes and delicious bakery items loved by patrons. ‍She was married to Wayne Dillion and they built their life in the Polk County area. Sue was a great lover of dogs, especially her sweet dog, Buddy. Susan always had a very big heart and will be missed dearly by her friends and surviving sister.‍ She is predeceased by her husband Wayne Dillion, and mother and father, Fred and Joan Schairer. She is survived by a daughter, Christina Hedrick, and her loving sister, Jane Schairer.‍
