The Girl Scouts from Troops 1819 (Columbus) and 10071 (Mill Spring) sang a selection of patriotic songs to celebrate the occasion. Members of the Polk County Honor Guard, made up of local members of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, also showed their support.

COLUMBUS—The 61st annual Fabulous Fourth celebration in downtown Columbus was a hit on Thursday, with folks coming from all over to enjoy the festivities. The day included rides for the kids, a classic car show, food and craft vendors, and live music, culminating with the fireworks display.
