Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

A good bridge club is about more than competition, although there is certainly plenty of that, and some of it is intense. But at the end of a round, we’re still friends, and friendships endure, even when it’s no longer possible for some players to come to the club.

On Tuesday, June 25, more than two dozen members of the Foothills Bridge Club of Tryon traveled to Tryon Estates to visit once-active members Rosemary Witty and Don Eifert, seated and surrounded by friends. There was plenty of hard-fought bridge that afternoon, three-plus hours, every last second of it secondary to the smiles and stories shared by old friends. Plans are already underway for a fall visit.
