TRYON—The Rotary Club of Tryon recently recognized Rotarian Skip Taylor as the 2023-2024 Rotarian of the Year. Past Club Presidents Carol Browning and Stacey Lindsay presented Skip with his award.

Known as a member who cares about others and is always willing to lend a hand when needed, Skip has been an active member of the Club for many years and is well deserving of this recognition. He doesn’t shy away from work, no matter how dirty, rainy, or dark it is when the job has to be done.

Skip helped the Club start the Impact Club and the Little Libraries, and is the “Beverage Man” for Shrimpfest. During COVID, he served two terms as the Club’s President.

As the Foundation President, he guides the club’s outreach to its local community and around the world. Most recently, he worked to secure the Club’s $150,000 donation to help build a YMCA in Columbus. Skip has also guided the Club in the development of a long-term Strategic Plan and helped both the Club and the Foundation update their By-laws.

The Rotary Club of Tryon is very pleased to recognize Skip Taylor for his contributions.
