The food drive was set up at the Dollar General and ALDI grocery stores in Landrum and collected a large amount of non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, and other items for the community-based non-profit, which will then be shared with those in need.

“Thank you so much to everyone who came out and donated to the food drive,” Landrum Police Chief Jason Coffin said in a social media post. “It is so awesome to see a community so strong and compassionate. You don’t even know how much this is going to help our community through Operation Hope. It is downright amazing.”

Chief Coffin went on to thank all of the men and women who helped with the food drive for their community service.
